I answer the phone at my place of employment.

After I answer I often hear. "Is "so and so" there?" If I reply. "No he's not in right now." I'm then asked "Is so and so there?" I reply, "I'm sorry he's not here either."


Then I hear "So nobody is there." DUH, it's not like the jerk got a computerized answering machine. I want to say " I'M HERE you idiot. I'm sorry I'm not the person who can help you, but I think I can manage to take a message."

OK, idiots on the other end of the line is my pet peeve, what's yours?

 

I hate it when guys come up and unbutton their pants and tuck in their shirts while talking to me

i hate 90% of all questions that insurance agents ask me, Basically because they are lazy and uneducated. Plus i am a hater

 

I just hate WORK in general !! Does that count ?

 

A bit more than a pet peeve but

Working gets in the way of life!

 

Being in IT, its hilarious when you have business guys on the phone trying to tell you what to configure and thinking it takes a day to do it. I like the reaction they get when I send back the estimate of the work which is like 200+ days and cost $150k.

They just think I can wave a magic wand and get the work done. sorry we have to request resources and they are out in India. And we can't get anybody on the project for another 30 days. Oh and do you have funding allocated yet for this
