Scum bags are bold!

I remember feeling and because some punk had the nerve to step on MY front porch, one fall, steal my pumpkins, only to smash them in the street.

What is this world coming to?

I've heard of homeowners covering items in vehicles in the past-check yours out.

Sorry to hear about this, Steve. I haven't even gotten to read the whole thread yet. It is really a shitty feeling. I have had an apartment broken into a long time ago and I did not like the violated feeling. Will homeowners insurance cover you?

Now that I have said that....

I thought things don't happen in a nice town. "No murder in Norfolk ever... blah blah."

Next time they could get in your house, maybe with you inside.

Years ago, I lived on Federal Hill in Providence. When I was moving in, my new landlady noticed that I locked my car. She said I never had to lock anything, and pointed to the building in front of hers. It was the headquarters of Raymond Patriarca, Sr., head of the New England mafia. Safest place I've ever lived. Ah, the good old days.

and auto doesn't cover for contents in your car, unless they are a permanent fixture. Well that was the old rule anyway. SOMETIMES some personal possessions in a car used to be covered under homeowners, but I'm talking a long time ago, and with today's deductibles, not sure if that would help Bass recoup his loss, or if that is still even true.
When we had our stuff stolen on vacation out of our car, that's how it was explained to us. Anything stolen/damaged that's part of the car is covered by auto, anything kept in the car is home owners.

yup and my home owner deductible is $500.00 so it's really not worth filing a claim
Plus, it's a good chance that you pay more annually for your insurance if you make a claim. Most insurance companies have a "discount" for not making any claims. For mine it's quite substantial, 20% discount! As soon as you make a claim, bye bye discount.
We did get out of it though, because we had our policy for quite a long time with no claims.....they let it "slide". Recovered about $200 of $700 stolen.

Sorry to hear about your loss! Steve....

I had a similiar run in with these scum bags too.....some axxhole take my car cover off of my car in my driveway between the hour of 9:30pm to 1pm while I was out playing cards with the boyz one evening. (didn't have my cable lock on) I live in the Northshore in a decent area, the major lives up the street.

Definitely thinking about getting one of these!!

WTF are you gonna do with a gun? shoot the car?

they were long gone before you realized jack shit.

like I said get a hyper dog that barks at every thing that moves.
how many people do you think would come near your house jeff?

that dog would take 'em down in 4 seconds.
