Default Post tuning question.

This morning pretty cold out I took car out to work and when gunning it there was a dip in power at 6K and at 7K. Not a smooth pull all the way up. Did it again still there. Let car run for another minute or 2 then did it again and all was well.

I was wondering am I getting a rich/lean condition because the car isn't totally to its dynoed operating temps causing this issue.

It is like the car really needs to get pushed before it will smooth out and run hard. Is this typical? Anybody else seeing this?

Nope.............not unless you set your High % level below 50%. That is the level where the ECU says OK just go into a loop of XXX fuel at this RPM. The VAFC adjusts that. If you mess with the low settings(partial throttle) then the ECU will correct for this.

Though it's not a bad idea every so often. Say Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter to let the ECU learn new A/F and temps.

Jim, I saw a post a while back about the V-tec transition not happening below a certain temp. on my00 and 01 cars, but I didn't pay it much attention cause mine is an 02. I don't know if that is true, but if so, that might be your problem.
