Question for Boston Owners...
AND or for those who live in or near Boston who frequent Boston who are familiar with the "Nightlife" there.
Im going to Boston this weekend the 20th (friends taking me for my B-day bash,Its a yearly ritual for us) and we are looking for some suggestions for new places to go and check out, hang out at etc.
I havent been there since September and im pysched! I am familiar with Boston and we know our way around quite well.
HOWEVER, we usually do the same routine. 1- We get there and do some shopping in the Copley mall then walk down Boyleston and Newberry streets to do some more shopping/browsing/eating etc. 2-We go to Quincy Market then walk over to the "Little-Italy" section for espresso and dessert and some alcohol
4-We go check out a lounge for a drink or two and to check out some eye-candy. 5-We go check out a Nightclub such as Pravda or Roxy etc etc.
So fellas i could use some help/suggestions with numbers 4-5.
Some of the places weve been to and are contimplating going to again are Limbo,Vox-lounge,Pravda,Avalon,Roxy,Aqua,Armani-cafe,Cigar-Masters,and some other places which i cant remember the names of.
I figured id ask you guys on here who are more familiar and go more often to Boston then i do. We usually frequent the same places, just looking do to something new
Thanks in advance guys !
P.S.-i have checked out Boston.com for ideas, but id rather hear from people who actually have "been there" and seen the scene so to speak. Also, any place where the women to men ratio is 10 women to every guy
So i can
with a bunch of females!

Since you are all set with 1-3... I'll comment on 4&5...
Do you plan on driving a car? The places you listed are not walking distance from each other... A $4-5 cab ride, but not really walking distance.
If you want to do a one stop party spot... there a few I could recommend.
First... the "typical" out of towners one stop location would be the Fanuiel Hall area. There are soo many bars and soo many little night clubs in that area. The Rack is known for the celebrities that frequent the pool hall/night club/bar... Black Rose (Irish Pub), Clark's (was voted Boston's top Meat Market), Green Dragon (Irish Pub), Hennessey's (Irish Pub), Hong Kong (bar/club), Sissy K's (bar/club), The Purple Shamrock (bar/club). Then just one block away from Fanuiel Hall is The Place which is another spot where some celebrities are know to stop into. Aqua is right around the corner from there as well. There are so many bars/clubs in that area... it would take this whole day for me to list them

Then... over by the Fleet Center... a 5-10 min walk from Fanuiel Hall... you could stop by the New Coyote Ugly Saloon... And one of the other Boston Beer Works chain restarants is right near there also. Plus Hooters is a block away also!
Another one stop party area is Landsdown Street. The New Tequila Rain is at the beginning of the street, then Avalon, Axis, Modern, and of course... Jilians... not to mention all of the bars that are also around that area.
And my last one stop party area is the 1 Boylston Place clubs... where the Pravda, The Big Easy, Sugar Shack and the Roxy and La Boom are about one or two blocks away.
Hmm... too many options... if you could narrow it down to an area... or if you do want to hop all over the place... just let me know
I sort of know the area

Cool, thanks G!
yOU "de man"
OK, i think we are taking a cab (if its too cold to walk) otherwise we will walk, unless of course its to far to get to the bars/club we decide to go to.
Im going to check with the guys that are going with me and see what they want to do and where and i will reply back. Alot of those places ive never even heard of! Great input. I will have to print this out and bring it. All i know is we are staying over at the Copley Marriott so our car will stay there in the hotel garage( and no, im not taking the S. tHAT IS UNLESS it suddenly becomes 50degrees and above
) I have been to Landsdown and to the Boylston areas. But i havent been to the Funiel hall area for nightlife. Thats a possibilty. Thanks again, i will reply to this post later when i get more info...

Well... I have to admit I was
... in my younger days
In my former life
I was a Nightclub DJ for a few clubs in Boston... then a Sound Engineer for a bunch of live bands that performed in too many Boston clubs. It was a lifestyle that I will never forget!
Soo many stories and so many memories!
Did I every tell you guys about the one time... [edited due to content nature

You will have a great time! Champion's Bar and Grill is just downstairs from there... then another great bar across the street is Dick's Last Resort... I could go on and on!!!

Just let me know the general area you guys would like to go... and I could give you guys so many suggestions... that it may actually make your head spin even before the first sip of beer!
Like I said... I know the area just a little bit
And to think... I'm out of the "scene"...

If you're going down to Boylston St, Saint is a good night club for eye candy and hanging out. Abe & Louie's is good for dinner, as well as Azure. If you want to go closer to downtown, Whiskey Park for clubs and PF Changs and Via Motta are good for eating.

and everything I forgot to mention!

But to comment on the Pru Garage...
... it is expensive to park there... unless you get your parking ticket validated inside the Pru Mall
. What I sometimes do is... I walk into Barnes and Noble, and pick up a few magazines that I've been meaning to buy... Super Street, Honda Tuning, and Modified... pay for the magazines... get my ticket validated... and I save money from parking in their garage!
I think the min amount you need to spend is $5 to get the ticket validated... but most of the time the cashiers don't notice
