Default Radio Err Code and dead battery

When Bobby went outside this morning he found the S2k dead in the garage. It hadn't been started in five days with all the rain but so what, the battery was fine all winter too when the car was in hibernation.
So we charge the battery with my Sears smart charger and the car starts up fine.
Also now the radio and CD player are inoperable with ERR in the screen.
Any ideas???????????

Also still can't reset the Maint Req'd light on the dash and can't find it mentioned in the manual. Bass told me how to do it but I must be an idiot so one more time for anybody... help me out.

Thanks,
Bob & Bob

Okay finally got the maint req'd light out (yep RTFM - read the f-in manual)

As far as the radio goes I guess from reading the same manual the car thinks I was trying to steal the radio when I jump started it so it asked for a code. Being as much an idiot as his dad, rjk3 just hit a few buttons and put the radio in err mode.
Now the manual says I should have been provided the code when I bought the car and the radios serial number, but I have neither though I'm anal about saving everything. So it looks like a trip to the dealer is required, and they'll have to yank out the radio to get at it's serial number, then get me the code and reset the radio.
Can't wait to see what that costs.

Bob, I have reset my maint. light several times that I can do it in my sleep. Yet for some reason I couldn't do it for a Socal owner of a newer MY S when I was out there. It could be that newer S works a little differently in this regard. Won't be too long before our next meet now that warmer weather is (FINALLY) here. Maybe I can take a lookie if it is still not reset by then.

well the battery problem is very strange here. When we had the car sitting in the garage for months at a time during the winter it was fine. We left it for a couple day because of the rain and it just totally died. It also took about 2 1/2 hours to charge. We are just wondering why the battery would just die out. Also when we jump started it, it asked for the radio code which we do not have, or cant seem to find. Does anyone know how to get the radio code for the car without having to go back to the dealer and paying to get it fixed? thanks little Bob

hey guys - regarding the radio - it sounds like the wrong code was enetered more than three times. hence the err message - all you need to do is remove your battery cable for a few minutes and the radio should reset with "CODE" - enter the correct code and you should be listing to Clapton in no time

if you can

Another thing I figured out about the radio code is that if you have signed up for Honda Owner's Link online, you can get the code there.
