Angry reallity starting to set in.........

Well, I just got back from selling the S2K... A fellow named Gordon from Nova Scotia flew in yesterday, and purchased it this morning. I told him to keep an eye out on this forum as I now there is talks about doing a trip there next year. It's so sad to see it go, maybe someday we'll get another, until then, on to the new S....Mini Cooper S that is. I still plan on doing trips and gatherings next year, I'll just have a little harder time keeping up!!

I can't wait to see the Cooper S. How is the Mini that much better of a deal anyway? I've gone through their website a few times before, and once I have the car spec'd to my liking it comes out to ~30k.

I'm also selling my CR-V, which in turn will pay off our other car. So we will be reduced to one car payment instead of two.....
I'm not going with a convertable, just the hatchback. 30K must be with the JCW kit or a convertable S? Plus they are trying to get rid of 06's to make room for orders for the new 07's. Good time to buy!

I will definately post pictures once it's in my driveway.....I'm shopping now!!

Of course I priced it with the JCW kit. I wouldn't be able to live with myself knowing I could have gotten a faster version of the car and cheaped out.

Good luck to you. When the time is right, you will be back. When I sold my first car, I was planning on still going to meets. Somehow, that never happened and I regret it. I am sure I missed out on alot of good times and great freindships because of that. Make sure you tag along even with out the S, it's worth it!

Absolutely, there's still an S2K still in the family (Hummingbird). We'll be joining them in a few excursions next year.

You can have a lot of fun with the mini. With options those things can get up there. By bud has one fixed up a bit and he's putting a little over 200whp down with the stock exhaust, yet fully reliable as his daily driver.

Don't wait! Buy another. Heck you can get one for 16K and have $ left over for a beater!
