Default s2k winter storage

Hey guys,

I have posted on and off in s2000 talk but not in this particular forum. I wanted to take this time to say hi to everyone!! I just moved from upstate NY to the Greater Boston area.

I just got a new job and am looking to purchase an s2000. I have a couple of questions regarding the New England area.

1) Who provides the cheapest insurance.

2) Where is the cheapest place to store the S since I have no garage.

3) Anyone looking to sell?

Thanks in advance!!

1.who provides.... huh, it is up to the service you are looking for...!! Metlife is pretty good.... but no idea if that is cheapest...

2. you could store the S at my home..!! just give me your key, I will return the car to you when new Zaino coats, lubricate the car, and free oil change for you...!! just leave the key to me...!! probabily looking for another 10K mileage more after you store your car here..

3. Aaron is always selling his car..!! maybe him... or you wanna buy my S2000?

Anywayz, don't take my word too serious... I am a joker here..!! (at least that is what other NES2KO thought I am.. )

Sure, my car is always for sale. Interested in a rare bone stock 2002 white with 3000 miles? Save yourself a few thousand from buying a new one.

insurance is the same cost no matter where you go.. we do not have a competative market. it's all based on your driving record.

check the Boston Globe if you're looking to buy a used s2k i've seen about four of them in last week's paper.

as for storage, i'm not too sure it all depends where you live some of those self storage places are pretty reasonable

I appreciate the help so far.

The market for the S is definitly better out here that in NY. I think I may seen two s2k's in the past year that I was in NY. There seems to be more of them out here which technically should make them more affordable.

I looking for a silver or black S with Blk interior.

I would rather buy from knowledgable S owners than take my chances on the Globe

Get the Silver..and get a 2002 model as you will have a better stereo, better interior, glass rear window..etc.

I say get the silver as it is easier on the maintenance side. Black gets swirl marks pretty easy and can be labor intensive to get out. I have a sebring silver and love the color.

Also insurance will vary depending where you live..and if you bundle the insurance for more then one car as well as house insurance.

There was a used Silver/Black at AutoFair Honda in Manchester, NH, I saw it over a week ago so it may be gone. Used S2000s do not normally last to long on the lot. They have a website so you could get the contact info from there, I am at work and do not have access to the info.

You may want to consider a new one, there is not much difference in the price. The only saving you may see is in your yearly tax on the car.

I have considered a new s2k, but the mark up is way to much for me!!

Maybe I'll have better luck in a couple of months when the 03's come out.

donixs2000,

My two cents... for what it's worth these days

Come to the Honda North event September 22nd. Maybe you could work out a deal with them that day

I know they have a yellow and red S right now.
