Thumbs up Safe Parking in Bo-town

I might be visiting my old roommate at MIT after the brewing on Saturday. You Boston guys... where is the best garage to stash the S for the night?

Hmmm... MIT?

There is a public parking garage in Central Square, but I'm not sure if I'd recommend it for overnight parking.

Over in Kendall Square there are few more. Over by the movie theater... but that is pretty busy and can get crowded with movie goers. There is a hotel in Kendall Square, I think it's a Marriott or Hilton... you might be "safer" in that building... less through traffic.

Then again, "some" of the side streets around MIT can be quiet and "may" be safe.

The garage at the Kendall movie theater is the best if it's close to where you want to be. Avoid the garage at the Cambridgeside Galleria; it's crowded and you could get a ding quite easily.

the real question is... is it safe to park anyway??? theres always gunna be some kinda of a threat. my dad tries to avoid public parking lots, (stop and shop) no mall parking lot and when we have to park its always with the curb on 1 side to decrease the chance of a "wild door".

Yes, those are good precautions. But, realistically, I can't be that worried about parking. I'd die a young, paranoid man. I just wanted to know if there was a garage where I could be less worried about finding my car on blocks the next day. Ends up I won't be in Boston, anyway.
