i buy on sale with coupons to maximize the savings and i buy a year's worth at a time - not too brand loyal anymore as long as it's a name brand product and on sale

there was a time where i would chase deals and get tons of stuff for free or make $$$ but i never used the stuff so i slowed down a bit - like my tampon stockpile

hey steve,
you should donate your tampon supply to the battered women's shelter in Worcester.
probably could even make it tax deductible if you did it right.

I tend not to make purchases based on sales, I decide if i want something and occasionally I can get it on sale, but the sale is not the reason why I'm buying it.

I typically will wait till what i want goes on sale to justify buying it, especially if it is something i do not need like the 42" lcd tv i bought this summer on sale.

i do occasionally get sucked into buying something just cause its on sale. but i have been doing better at that lately, a few weeks ago i saw an amazing deal on skiis and bindings. i was walking around with them in the store for about 20 minutes while the +1 shopped. then right when I was about to pay i said to myself. why do i need these? i dont even ski that much plus the skiis i have are fine. so i left em there and saved a couple hundred bucks!

I won $1100 playing bingo a long time ago, it was a comparatively cheap night
out back when I was poor. I hit the "cover all" by myself...never saw so many
angry elderly people in one place, I felt like I was going to get rolled by a
grandmother type on the way to the car.
