yea me and my friend will be tackling the install. I just put on a t1r exhaust and test pipe so hopefully that will prove even more beneficial with the sc. I will try to take some pics, but I don't know where my digi cam is! I will try to find it. I'm hoping to put at least 310 to the wheels, should be quite fast!

Sounds like I will need to have a SC install party out at the house, come the new year. (when I have the green light and green backs to buy the SC).
Hmmm ,, Lower cost on the install then expected,, could this be built into the budget?
Looking forward to a few wise words of advise on the install. Good luck..

Ummm, I certainly would avoid doing any such thing! Yikes!

To remove the crank pulley you need a special tool (basically a large hub-wrench) to immobilize the crank. Then a heavy-duty socket & breaker bar to turn the bolt. Below is a couple pictures of the tool you need:

As I mentioned, I have this tool sitting in my garage if you want to borrow it. I could even meet you somewhere in between so you have less driving time. Maybe just west of Concord? I would mail it to you; however I know how awful I am about actually mailing things and I probably would never get off my butt to do it.

The crank pulley is INSANELY difficult to get off. I broke 2 socket wrenches and rounded off 1 socket before I could get it off. In the end it took a deep, impact socket on a heavy-duty breaker bar. I was pushing on the breaker bar, and a friend of mine was pulling on it - we barely got it off...

Also, what would you say is the hardest part besides the crank pulley? Let me know if you have any tips.

Well the supercharger is in! It seems to be working perfectly, I just need to install a boost gauge and it will be all set. The install took about 15 hours, 4 of those trying to get the crank pulley bolt off. We ended up getting it off with a breaker bar and hammer!

We did run into an issue where one of the vaccuum hoses has a little device and it wasn't letting air through because it was backwards so I was getting a check engine light, but now that is fine.

Other than that it went smoothly. Car pulls really hard now but not sure what kind of rwhp I'm putting down, time to get to the dyno. Oh, and I will probably have to upgrade the clutch as it seems it can't handle all the new power it's getting! So I will need that and the aftercooler and I will be all set.

Man you guys are making me damn jealous. But I am still waiting until my warranty goes bye-bye before I do something like this to my car. One more year on the warranty. At least I know who to call to install this bad boy!

I will have to see those setups on the GMT this weekend.
