Default SeaWorld, OMG

We were just there last week with the family, and I *really* liked the "Believe" show that they'd put together around the Orcas. Today, one of the handlers was killed by the Orca Tilli. Oh my god...

What's particularly shocking is that (if the news reports are correct) this Tilli has been involved in not one but *two* prior incidents. Why on earth would they continue to use a questionable animal in their show?

I'm just really sad. It's horrifying.

It was reported that the whale "seemed agitated" before the show. Thankfully, from what I understand, the accident happened before the show opened. Is that what you heard?

Actually, the reports conflicted and I don't know whose facts are "real." Apparently, a witness said the orca came out of the water and snagged the trainer. That's a different story than what SeaWorld was saying (that the trainer slipped into the tank which was not supposed to happen).

Hoping to hear more information on the late news although I don't know if there will be any more clarity than what I already heard.

Yeah, "killer" indeed. Sigh. Just awful. I think SeaWorld will have to take it on the chin if this orca really was involved in two prior incidents. That's really difficult to understand.

This is not even the first time that whale has killed someone. Obama had all the information about this threat available to him when he came into office and yet over a year later he does nothing!!!
