Pretty car and Awesome floor! No more S? Ack! Gasp Looks like you were having fun with the Miata. I saw all the cones setup when we arrived and left - looked like fun. Jeremy (a fellow Silverstone owner) and I were going to come over and crash your party in between sessions on track But we decided to behave instead

Have you ever auto-x'd before ? whole other experience than the track .. Next one is in Lincoln NH , I think it is called the HoBo Railroad .... it will be a Saturday event followed up by a rumble on Sunday ( Rumble is a 4 driver 1 car team competition )

I'd give auto-x a try now that I have a good helmet. I've only had my car for a year and a half and never had a car worthy of trying it before

I'm not into the competition of it so much as just being able to go faster safely... the track training really translates well into being a better/safer/faster street drive. Plus it's just plain freaking fun to go fast on a real racetrack!

I will get you all the detail for that day so you can join us , Glenn should be there too ....

Auto-x will sharpen you mind and help with reaction . Unlike the track there is no path to follow , no cones to tell you when to brake or cone to show you the Apex . You might not be going as fast speed wise , but you will be going three times as fast mentally and physically

Hope you can join us ...

Thanks for the invite If the date works out I'd love to give it a try... we've got a busy October planned: Mohawk on 13th, Fall Colors on the 20th and then Watkins Glen on the 29th

I agree - the mental "on" is nearly as challenging as the physical I think. I ran solo for the first time this weekend and I was wiped out after the second session of that... One of my goals was to work really hard on NON cone indicators for braking and turnin points... I know someday I will get a chance to drive on track without them and I plan to be ready

Will Saturday part of event be solo runs? I don't want to be part of a team and mess everyone else up with low times since I don't think I will be very good the first few tries out

On my way back from the hospital today, saw 2 Sebrings, both on Rte. 2A East. First on at the Ayer/Shirley line, then about 5 minutes later another once at the Shirley/Lunenburg line. Gave them both a but we were in the Xb so they probably never even noticed.

Was there a secret Sebring meet out this way?
