Default SHO

Some of the kiddies won't remember, but I have fond memories flogging that sweet Yamaha plant when I detailed cars at a ford dealer in the late 80's early 90's......

Ford might make it afterall.....

A relaunch of the SVT division would be great....their products were always competetive.

Used to have a SHO Taurus back in the day...bought it used for a winter beater, ended up selling it to a kid who raced it in the 200 mile season ending enduro at the local track....Around 100 cars and he came in 1st!

it takes more than a badge to make it a SHO though.
The SHO stood out becuase the engine was so special.

a 350hp turbo six sounds special enough to me. I bet with a bit of tweaking it'll be over 400 easily.

The new Taurus is too big to be as tossable as the old one.

I'm sure they were fun cars back in the day but being S2000 owners
wouldn't you want something with a better body style?

Better than what.....example??

The base Taurus has Accord/Camery etc as competetion....so it is not designed to be a flashy sedan....it is supposed to be understaded. It actually has some major design components of the Accord...High hood and slab doors. Understated is something I like in my "beater" sedan....I want a Stealth Sleeper Sled. Some one looks in the rearview and says "it is just a Taurus" and I go by......"Oh Snap.....SHO".

That's what I mean, yeah I drive an accord but it's my beater and it
is the V6 coupe.

The SHO is still a Taurus which looks like every other family sedan out there.

To each his own, but I see your point as well if you're looking for a sleeper.

If we all liked the same thing there would be 1 car company.

there is an awful lot to be said for not gaining any more attention than is absolutely necessary.
sleeper
and despite hardtotop jeff's protestations, sleepers do get a lot fewer tickets than a tweaked out rice ball.
