The cost of health care isn't going to change if you want the same level of care. The only thing that will change is how you pay for it. Either you direct pay an insurer, or you pay taxes and the Government pays. Be very careful before you demand the government approach. In those countries with so-called universal health care, those who can afford to do so typically go outside of the system and pay their provider of choice directly.

 

true bill - what about the folks that can't afford health care? and i would say that the folks in Canada get the same if not better care.. however they do pay more taxes
