Yep, some sites do give you more speed if you got it. I noticed that Steam will loosen its top end if you have allot to download. I hit 3.43 megs per second, unfortunately it did not maintain, but it presents some promise.
Have you tried out Fios TV yet? I have not since Nesn is not in hd on the service yet, but according to a Verizon rep, they will have it in hd by opening day. April is not that far off.

I am happy to just hit 1400 Kbps or 1.4 Mbps on my DSL. I can ramp up to the premium dsl from ATT to give me 3000 Kbps or 3 Mbps for $5 more or $10 more for 6000 Kbps or 6 Mbps but I am way too cheap.

I maxed out at 1075 Kbytes/sec or 8.3 Mbps before it settled in at ~800 kbytes/sec.

I couldn't imagine going back to dialup speeds.

Try out this site for testing your speed. I get the best out of New York since it is the closest.

20065 down and 4356 up. I am getting short changed on my upload speed, dang.
