No one reads anymore? I don't have much time and in a few more weeks will have even less. If I do I try to relax and read a bit, ride my bike in the basement. Try walking, the usual.

So George, what do you do to pass the time away while in the treestand all day? Cant do the ipod thing cant hear em and will scare em, cant do the crossword puzzle thing cause you wont see em.

I always found hunting boring as hell, so im wondering what exactly do you do out there watch the leaves fall?

BTW this is a serious question from someone who would die of boredom waiting for bambi to come trudging along.
Read. Usually just read some presentation or lengthy white paper thats work related. Sometimes a magazine. Just have to be pretty quiet. I am up in a tree stand so I can move a bit without scaring bambi away.

Sometimes I actually veg out. I actually look forward to some days being in a tree stand for 8 to 12 hours just sitting there watching deer and all sorts of animals pass by. This property is pretty loaded with wildlife. Unfortunately some day it will be another mcmansion development and wildlife will be even more pressured to ruining our yards and vehicles.

If I get to go out for a half day or full day a week I am happy. Work and home life get in the way too much.

Did the hunting thing with my dad many years ago. All I did was sit totally
still, not because I could but because I froze in place, look straight ahead
and never saw anything resembling something I could shoot.
I'd say either that area wasn't scouted too well or you guys pressured them off when getting there. Too many variables there without putting some time into scouting.

NO EFF'N hunting on my property!! they are safe here
If you weren't so far away I wouldn't be bragging about the big buck in your yard. He'd be hanging in my living room.

The group of guys I was tagging along with didn't really believe in scouting,
they spent more time drinking.
