Default Soft Top

I read a topic where people were getting their soft tops repaired by the dealer under warranty in the corners where they rip. I am having a REALLY HARD time getting my dealer to do this for me.. I bought the car as a certified used car, and bought the Honda care 100,000 mile. So far here is what they did.

1st: patch it - said it was better. But it started to rip threw the patch.
2ed: brought it to a 3rd party repair guy. looked good, had the "sub-box carpet" on the inside like ive seen else where.

Now I notice that its cracking on the outside again.

Called Honda care, and told me that the top is NOT covered under their warranty.

anyone help me out here?

Autofair Honda in Manchester, NH. replaced mine no questions asked.

You might try giving them a call.

File down the frame, that is your root cause. You can keep fixing the vinyl all you want, until the frame is fixed you'll keep ripping the top.

I used to work at Manchester honda. I have a softtop sitting on my basement floor. The vinyl itself is in good shape with a glass rear window, unfortunately it got torn on the drivers side in the back slightly when I took it out and accidently snagged it on a screw. Not sure if its of any use but it is just taking up space right now.

I got my car back last night.. Kinda sad in a way cause I had a 2009 Challenger for my rental smooth ride... but not as fun as the S.

dealer told me "we did our research and we will just replace your top. We ordered it and it will come in about 5 days, and then we will have bring your car back will need it for two days for the install"

looks like it finally worked!

I just picked up two tops doing mine and my friends dads car. made by robbins and going with glass instead of the plastic window cost 1100 for both. Install my self =0)
