Default Spring Dyno Day

I know there are a few of us in the New England area that would like to hit the dyno. Some of us will be getting a "baseline" to reference for later hp gains from mods. Or if you want to know where your car stands.

Cost will be determined later but will hopefully be about 50 bucks for at least 3 pulls. Though from what I saw if your just looking to get an idea of where you stand.............3 is sufficient. If your looking to tune/tweak then more runs are definitly needed.

An actual date is yet to be determined though I hope it to be soon as the weather hits the 50's+ So probably end of March early April. Lots of time to prepare. Though I am sure it will FLY BY!!!!

I might try to swing a deal for those looking to V-AFC tune their car if we all go the same day. Plus we can get good at tuning a V-AFC too! Though from what I saw it was like 120 per hour with the Air/Fuel sniffer in place. As many runs as you want.

They have fans and such to keep our coolant temp relatively the same between runs. ~180 degrees.

I will update this thread as people post.

Here is the full scoop on details guys!

Typical dyno day during season, mid march to Thanksgiving, the cost would be $65 per car up to 6 pulls, Air/Fuel would be an additional $10.00. They try to get a minimum of 10 cars and they will supply a free BBQ and usually raffle off a t-shirt or 2.

They typically hold Dyno Days on Saturdays. If we are unable to get 10 they can usually get some cars. They will also set up a signup on their website so they can keep track of who is coming.

Typically during a dyno day we allow minor tweaks or changes between runs but not full tuning. If full tuning is what we want do do they can also set something up and give us special pricing. Full tuning events we will probably would want to stick to 6 - 8 cars, depending on the level of tune they need.(less if there is an AEM EMS to tune)

Let me know your thoughts on which type of event you would like to hold. Up to 6 pulls or FULL TUNING!

I told him we would probably do half and half. Some doing a few pulls to see where their at and some doing full tuning. If that is the case then we won't need 10 people. More like 6 especially if glenn plans to tune his EMS!

OK...

People that are going to tune their VFAC's you will need to plan on being on the dyno for about an hour with the use of the Wide Band O2 Sensor.

Everyone else that would be dyno'ing their cars should grab the 3 pulls minimum deal. If you get 6 pulls... all the better.

For me... I think I may be on the dyno for a minimum of 2 hours. So... plan on me going last. But YES I will be doing this event.

As for a suggested date... the later in March the better, even early April. I will be away durning the first half of March.

But for right now... I would like to know how many people are interested in dyno'ing their cars.

I guess right now it's...

We can plan the exact date later but it will definitly be at a time when Glenn will be around. Though Last weekend in March first weekend in April will be our target for now.

We have 2 needing V-AFC tuning 1 with an EMS and one doing a 6 pull run. Thats probably about 4-5 hours right there including car strap downs/dyno time. We still have room for others! The more the better.

Hey count me in. I just got my S and would love to throw it down on the dyno and get it baselined.

This will be done at Pruven right??

If there is a problem with getting more cars it should not be a problem, my brother runs a ricer club and I am sure those guys will want to get their cars dyno'd too... Just say the word!

Hey wonder if my clear bra will make my times/hp any better? he hee :-) nice dig to all the ricers out there.

Later days
