every 3k is not needed (unless you track the car often) if you extend the oil change out to 6k - you could save 1/2 your hard earned $$$$$

I've been doing 5k intervals which was what the dealer recommended... but since I needed to get the car in for other things as well it seemed like a good time for another oil change since I will be putting on another 600 miles this weekend alone

 

what does the manual say?

the stealership will say anything to get your bucks just like i'll say anything to get into the girls blouses

 

Manual says when you are at 20% oil life per the dash read out. Which is typically about 5k for me. I know alot of people go 7500 but I am really not comfortable with that.

I also like having the car looked at more frequently, because I can't see the most important 1/2 of the car myself I always specify with both cars that I want to know anything that does not look right.

You are spoiled having access to a garage and lift I know I was for a long time. But my garage access was not worth the other crap that came with it All you have to do is buy Erick beer

Rick has always had the oil changed in our cars every 3K. It's cheap money overall, and it makes him feel better.

 

Speaking of money savings, I wasted $16 yesterday because I'm stupid I guess I got a 4 year license instead of 2 when I know there is no way I will be at the same address for the next 4 years, probably not even another 1... Just a habit after living in one place for 10 years when the woman asked me.

On the bright side I spent the least amount of time ever in a motor vehicles office to renew my license. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes for a new photo license.

Yeah, your best bet is to maintain the crap out of a Chrysler. It is the only way to make it last
