I have been driving right up till today, when I found free storage! So jumped on that, and tucked it away in a dry warehouse. Been driving every weekend this month. Great late season!

Also, just bought a 2011 Subaru Forester yesterday for the family truckster. Any opinions on these cars? Everything I read is pretty good, and can't beat the price on Subaru. 16 year old daugher will be taking over the 2002 Montero, and hell, the insurance cost to add a 16 year old girl is through the roof!

Has anybody got a secret for adding a child onto the insurance that keeps it reasonable?

Snow tomorrow, so stored just in time.

Ken

Glad you enjoyed the S as long as possible.

My+1's Daily driver is a Subaru WRX. 38K miles on it, no issues.

There is no secret to cheap insurance with new drivers. Many of us have been there. You want to be sure your A$$ is well covered and that doesn't come cheap.

Tucked it away this morning, not too bad on December 23rd.

Finally got mine back on Thursday. Spent a month in the repair shop from my last minor collision. Unfortunately, after looking at the repair closely, I'm not happy with it. I'm sure the shop won't be happy when I call them tomorrow. Oh well.

I drive it as much as possible year round. Don't trust myself in the snow though and that's what my Highlander is for.

Bummer that you're not happy with the repair. Let us know how you make out when you give the body shop a call.

Just visited the body shop and the manager agreed that the work done is not satisfactory. They will make it right whether it's something the shop can handle or if not a new bumper will be ordered and installed. I'm still disappointed that they had the car for a month and it wasn't right when they gave it back to me. She goes back in tomorrow morning.

So, the S went back in and the bumper was repaired; however, they created another problem. Now the paint doesn't match. I did call but the repair shop was closed and the manager resigned after 18 years. Hmmm. Anyway, I'll be making another call on Monday. I also contacted my insurance company to let them know what's been going on. This shop is on their list of preferred, satisfactory guaranteed shops. Just a nuisance.

Yesterday was fabulous. I took a short top down drive. It was 54 degrees.

Still going - though gingerly. Frosty streets yesterday morn but what a day after. We're on borrowed time.

It's all good. Yesterday was amazing, and today's looking great too. I think I went out for coffee three times. Hope most of you got out for a drive.

Connie, sorry you're having such bad luck with your body shop, but I'm sure it'll get worked out to your satisfaction eventually.

Snuck mine out of storage Friday AND Saturday... Roads were cold made it fun but I took it easy for the most part. First time with the gutted interior in the car too... Sounds pretty good, have a few buzzs to chase down but for the most part it isn't to bad while driving ...
