stupid globe
you would think that they would be doing everything they can to stay in business.
it gets harder and harder to justify getting the paper.
Instead they have decided that the west edition now means newton.
twice last week I didn't get parts of the paper delivered and today I didn't get a paper at all.
are they trying to go out of business?

It's that way with all newspapers.
My best friend worked for the Portland ME paper in the Augusta office for many years. Last June, they gave everybody a buyout option. The day after the deadline, they announced the closing of all the sattlelite offices. Fortunately, he took the buyout.
Our local paper at one point dropped all the op-ed columns. The response was so bad, they reinstated them but left them out of Saturday's editon. Then the price went from .50 to .75 and $1.50 to $1.75 on Sunday. I've stopped buying three of the weekday editions and only get Sunday for the coupons which usually pay for the paper.

Our local paper sux too.
They stopped printing the TV Times, which the old folks who don't get fancy cable,
kind of liked having around to know what was on TV, not that there is much worth watching. They have shrunk the paper down to two sections, the news is always old news by the time I read it.
I read it for the local stuff and to find out if my presence is required at a funeral of a friend. Which makes no sense as if someone close to me dies, I'll hear about it right?
I've thought about just cutting down to the Sunday edition.
