stupid repairs....
no not the toy.
I used my ML this weekend for the first time in a long time.
the kids drive it usually.
some moron pulled a clever stunt that deserved a good horn toot.....
hmmmm
it would appear that no noise is emanating from the intended apparatus for that purpose.
Mercedes has the fuses and relays under the hood in a hermetic box with gaskets to keep everything dry.
the horn is attached directly behind the control box.
so after poking and playing...
horn fuse, good
swap relay, good
power into relay good.
detach horn and attach directly to battery.... what, huh,... yup horn works.
buzz out wires from relay output to horn uh -uh no connect... grrrr.
so somewhere in 12 inches of wire, I have a break but that break is buried in a wiring harness with 200 hundred other wires....
and other side of the fuse and relay panel is buried.
arrgh, I hate having to bring electrical stuff in to get it worked on.
very few know what they are doing.
well it's not snowing I guess.
