Default Summer meets

Our meets and events list is looking pretty good, but I think we could use some summer events. Let us know what type of event you prefer. Specific suggestions would be welcome. If you don't want to post, you can just vote for the type of event that comes closest to your preference.

And if you think we have enough stuff going on, that's fine too.

Bill, just about all of the above works for us...not too much into motor sports events.

We'd enjoy a day trip with dinner somewhere, we enjoy simple dinner meets, cook outs, tech days etc.

As far as weekends, we have the Nor'Easter, we're going to Spring Fling, and maybe Fall Colors, that's enough weekend stuff for us. We hope to do a couple non car related weekends on our own this summer too.

I'd actually like to see a few more things held on a Sunday. I know Ryan/Lazy Professor works on Saturday, as does Tommi, and I'm sure a few other folks do as well. With our kid duty most Saturdays, Sundays is much more "do-able" for us.

I like them all. Full weekend, tech days, drive and dinner. I can't pick just one!

Thanks. I hope more folks will chime in. I don't want to come up with stuff people are not interested in.

All of the above, Bill.

I can be a resource to come up w/ some cool eateries that cost $15-20 a head.

I voted "Day-long event with drive and interesting destination" because any of them would require me (any other Upstaters) to take a cheap hotel someplace. This is fine for me because I can choose the hotel that has a very low price, because I hate to pay to sleep, and I'm not the only one who feels that way.

I voted with the majority so far... day trips. MOST events are 3 hours or less for me to get to now... and maybe I can bum a nights stay somewhere if the events run late

I'll go to just about anywhere - as long as I'm not working. (Sundays in the summer )

17 votes and most like day-long trips. I should have asked this question before I started scheduling things. Based on the response to the brake fluid and pad tech day meet and the response in this thread, I'm thinking that Tech days are not all that popular. And the biggest supporter of tech days is selling his car.

I'll probably just focus on one day meets on Saturdays and Sundays then. Thanks for the feedback.
