Hi guys after reading some of the post on here with the summer tires I might go with the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 ($510 with free Shipping) at www.discountiredirect.com. Not to mention additional $80 off rebate that going on with Hankook tires. Townfaretire have the same deal but its about $530 total and same rebate as well but they do offer like free tires change over and more etc. Question is it worth going to townfaretire or just order the tires and go else where?

I'd go through townfair if they'll mount them for you, otherwise go through discount tire. Townfair mounted mine but I know they aren't supposed to unless they're their wheels. Just double check first.

I would think for $20 it is worth just going to Townfair. I don't think you will find anyplace to mount and balance 4 tires for $20.

Decided to take a risk and try the Sumitomo HTR Z III -- at $96 for the rears (245/40) and $79 for the fronts (205/50) from Tire Rack, I figured I'd give 'em a season and see. Never bought Sumitomos before.

I usually do my mount/balance at my local mechanic who's pretty good with wheels/tires.

Thanks for all the suggestions, though. The Hankooks and Contis seem pretty nice.

Post up once you get some miles on 'em. I thought about getting those myself.

I`ve been running star specs for a year now, and have been very happy with them.
The only other tires I've had on the S are whatever all season garbage the previous owner had on them.

FYI, some confusion about the Sumitomo tread pattern: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/584...tomo-htr-ziii/

Tires are now mounted/balanced on my wheels and I'll probably put 'em on the next nice day.
