Summer trip to Lake Winnepesaukee?
4cars and me are neighbors at Lake Winnepesaukee, and I've been thinkin that we could have a weekend or a day up there around...motorcycle weekend (?). There are always a lot of nice cars/boats/bikes during that weekend. Any ideas about this? 4cars, you out there?
OK, I've only been in the Boston area for about two years, and although that sounds familiar, I have no idea where it is. Care to elaborate for us geographically challenged? I'm all for a couple of days out at a lake during the summer months.
OK...when you see a map of New Hampshire, it's the big lake right in the middle. Winnepesaukee is about 55 miles all the way around, and its surrounded by mountain ranges. To get there, you have to go through manchester, epsom, allenstown, and finally you reach alton (southern-most part of the lake). Motorcycle weekend is a very busy time and it would be a great time to gain popularity for NES2KO and to just have fun with all the odd
and interesting people up there.

Dan,
Just so you know, you were at Lake Winnepesaukee that weekend we drove up to the Kankamangus......remember when we were looking for a place to eat and we stopped in the parking lot.....across the road was a body of water......that was it
Oh yeah, and remember that really windy but short stretch of road with the high stone wall on the right hand side of the road, and the body of water off to the left.....that again was part of the Lake.....I know it was foggy out, but the Lake was out there

I'd be up for that. We (GF and I) drove up and ate at the Wolfboro inn a few weeks ago just to go for a drive. I grew up vacationing all over the lake and love it up there. Not sure about motorcycle weekend tho, might spend all our time in bumper to bumper. : (
Haha. Yea that might happen. Wolfeboro inn is a really nice place. One of the greatest places to eat up there is the Wolfe Trap. Doesn't look great on the outside, but it's got great food. A little expensive though.
Anyway, if you get a good weekend up there it's really great. Be a great ride up to there, and maybe over to the coast or somthing. You guys can talk about it. I'm just throwing the idea up. Since, I've missed alll the drives so far. And about the bumper to bumper thing, We might be able to take a limited number of people by boat.

hey guy's sorry i'm late, yea, weekend, week, month whatever, i'll be at the lake for quite a while this summer. Anyone who wants to stop in is welcome. Hmm, i wonder if i'll have the internet up there.... Anyways, motorcycle weekend is crowded, and may not be the best time to go up as a group, but i reccomend it for anyone looking to meet new people.

Actually, I lived in Wolfeboro for 3 year (high school)!!
I went to the boarding school, called Brewster Academy. Yes, it's the one that surrounds the lake. You can always go into the campus and hang out in the boat house of the school.
Please don't forget to stop by "Huck's Hoagie's". It's the best steak sub place in the world. Also, Wolfeboro Inn is great.
I would've joined you only if I had S2000...
