Default THANKS S2Ki

As many of you heard this past Wednesday i had a bit of car trouble i was stuck in the middle of the street in the Lower East Side area of Manhattan in New York City. Stuck with no idea wtf was wrong with my car. and running out of options. Usually when a car breaks down right before the entrance of an expressway the local police would stop to investigate. Luckily the NYPD are so commited to their job that they passed right on by me and didnt stop to ask why i was stopped to the side next to the expressway enterance. maybe becuz i have a nice car anyway i finally get ahold of a flatbed get driven about 10 miles to my buddies shop... plugged my car to find out what was wrong with it. come to find out it was the MAP Sensor one of the 3 wires was out. so after i had it reconnected i drove it and everything was fine.

so the moral of the story is....

when your Car breaking down in the middle of the street

two snapples - $2.50

Calling around to find out probable causes - 115 cellular minutes

Calling a flatbed to take my car to the a shop - $150

Reconnecting a lose MAP sensor wire - 1 Heineken

Having your buddy post up a help thread - Priceless

S2Ki.com don't own an S without it

to s2ki

thanks fellas

breaking down in NY city is a special event.
no one acknowledges your existence.
many years ago I was stuck for about 1/2 an hour whilei sorted out a cooling problem.
only 1 person said anything and that was " get that piece of sh!t out of the way"

that is very true... i lived in the NY Metro area for 15 years and believe me you get recognized just as much as the unfortunate homeless person you see everyday at the same subway station
