Default Time to change the tires

Yup, after 25K I need a third set of tires. In fairness the second set was a used set of SO2s from Thomas, so I probably would have gone 30k before I needed the third set. How many miles do you get out of your tires? Did you stick with stock tires? What did you get and how did you like them?

When I traded my car it had about 22,000 miles on it. It still had the original RE050 OEM tires on it, but they were balder than my grandfather.

my s had 28k when I changed the first tires...yes 28k. had toyo t1s's they were ok, now I have falken rt 615 and they are great.

We have learned, the AP2 tires are different and last longer than the AP1 tires. Our car is not driven hard, but it's no garage queen, we've got 35K on it now.

We replaced the first set of rears around 16K, I think. At 33K, we bought four new tires. We "could" have waited a bit longer, but we've read too many horror stories of those trying to get a bit more life out of their tires. Rick bought the same tire that was on the vehicle previously.

I love my RE-01R's. They don't seem like they'll last as long as the S02's, but to me, the added grip more than makes up for it. It looks like I'll get maybe 3 summers out of the rears at this point doing 4k miles a year or so.

Nope. They come in the numerically correct size, but not the increased size to compensate for the S02's wider than normal treadwidth.
