Finally!!! Thank you, Bill.
I'm hoping they will not want to lose what ever business we can give them. We have 42 people right now. I feel safe saying we will get 50. 60 would not surprise me at all, but I do not see 75. If they will go with the reduced numbers, we would try to keep the meet largly as it is (less the karting feature). But we will carefully study the cost savings of reducing some of the features to see if it will result in a more attractive price for some of our newer members.

We also need to trim of the people who are no longer active. Last time we did this, we trimmed everyone who had not posted anywhere on S2Ki for the past 12 months. This time, I thinking we should trim off anyone who has not posted of the past 6 months. And maybe also trim some of the "out-of-area" people who never come here. That is what I think makes sense.

Let me know what you think.
Sounds like a plan!

Well, I guess I'm one of those, so I added my name to the 'badge me' thread.

And Bill, if you're responsible for applying badges, does that make you a ?

Sorry, it's early, and I'm tired...

What do you all think about "members" like airgate? He is from NC. He posted a couple times, mostly to get a badge, and a time or two about the Red Sox. He doesn't really come around at all, nor has he come to any meets. I'm thinking he should be de-badged so that the roster reflects people that are actually involved in the community. Your thoughts?

My take on the badge is that you should need to live in the community and participate.

This is all centered on the roster. If people are some type of crazy badge whores, they can still right click the badge image and add it manually to their own sig. that way it doesn;t F up our roster.

100% As Jeff "rex" stated b4 he plans on using the badge to apply discounts in his powder coating biz. Which is a great idea to differentiate and be fair to the discount. So the badge actually does have a use other than bling in the sig value. But anyone that wants it can just place it in their sig the only diff is it wont be in the official badge section.
