Default Tire wear question

Both fronts are wearing evenly but they're wearing way more on the inside. They're fine on the outside but almost bald on the inner edge. I'm thinking the toe is off or is this just how they wear?

That was my experience recently although I think the car was out of alignment. I had that corrected last year, but the inside edge on my tires had already worn down. After the alignment, I "flipped" the tires, by the way, and I am continuing to use them. That seems to be working fine. I know I'll get another 10K on 'em. I've got brand new rears though that likely will expire when these older fronts do.

Depends on your alignment. i.e. toe angle

Normal for an S2000. Flip them if you want to after 10k or so.

Is the wear on the inner edge "cupping" or "feathering" or is it even, smooth wear?

If its uneven, and cupped or feathered, its most likely due to your front toe. When your toe is out of spec enough, it can actually make the tire almost "drag" across the pavement which creates that uneven wear.

If the wear is even, its most likely due to negative camber, which can be normal. The alignment spec for our cars is -.5 degrees of camber in the front if I remember correctly. If your car is further out of spec it will cause this wear even quicker. My front camber is set at -1 degree, and I eat the insides of my tires very fast.

It looks very even, the inside of the tire is almost at the wear bar but the outsides are like 80%

Mine are the same. I think it's pretty normal for the S2000. Mine are near the end of life anyways, but both fronts are smoothly worn on the inner edges.

Ours did the same. Last time we got new rears, Rick had them dismount the front tires and flip them as one of the other posters suggested.
