I came to NJ tonight and was out for some drink, a SUV...(ford explorer) hitted into my bumper... the rear bumper's CF cracks...I don't think it is repairable...since it is CF made, so, once it cracks, it cracks... However, we didn't call for police...cuz she was half drunk that is under drinking age and keep apologizing to me...and she wrote in a paper that she will be fully responsible for it this accident... anywayz, I am gonna call kingmotorsports tomorrow morning and get the invoice...then ask her to pay for the parts first....otherwise I will call the police ( in RI, within 24hours, you could call police for accident report....hopefully the same thing in NJ) ... guys, bless me..

Diddo...i would have still called the police..A women that i know called the police after she was hit when a kid ran the stop sign..and he said it wasn't his fault.. she had to go to court even when he said it was his fault to the police!

My opinion? Get her to pay the full amount (part + paint) within 24 hours of the accident. And unless she does, call the police to make sure you got your car's azz covered. I wouldn't leave my chips on the table on that note she gave you.

It's a good little lesson for her anyway...

Yup, I am gonna call the police if she doesn't response within 24hours... Witeness, well, I was a passenger, can I be a witness? well, I think after she signed on the paper as she is fully responsible for it... I think she will have to be responsible for that.. However, we will see how things turn out.... thanks guys..

oh!! Ben, i didn't expect Mugen bumper to be CF... just after she hitted thru, then I see it is the CF bumper...

 

Sorry to hear about your car. Was she aware how much your bumper costs? Unless she's from a rich family or something I don't know how many underage people can shell out $3K like that. I would listen to PsychoBen's advice on that one. Damn those Ford Exploders.

Sorry to hear about that. At least no one got hurt. I would get ahold of her ASAP and if she doesn't shell out the money right away, I would go get a police report imediatly. Even if she wants to pay, her attitude may change when she sees the pricetag on that bumper. It didn't damage the exhaust, did it? Good luck.
