A cheap Timex will keep keep time; some people prefer to buy a nicer watch. A Stevens shotgun will fire just fine; some people prefer to own something nicer. Many non-professionals have big bucks tied up in camera equipment whose quality greatly exceeds the ability of the owner. But they like to own nice stuff. If we Americans just bought what we actually needed, the economy would take a couple of decades to recover to where it is now.

As for Craftsman power tools being made by someone else: so are the hand tools. Over the years they've been made by a number of well-known tool companies. Whoever gives Sears the best price will get the contract.

Disclaimer: I worked for the Mac Tool company for a number of years. For the company, not as a distributor.

I use a 18 inch long piece of copper pipe for my breaker bar, slides
right over the end of the ratchet and has never failed to break free
any fastener.
Bring that setup to the shop , I have a car on the lift that has a stubborn bolt . I bet I can break it

We used my breaker bar with a 3 foot jack handle ( Craftsman jack handle btw as the jack broke so I kept the handle ) it would not get this axle nut off .

Bet you I can snap a craftsman breaker bar on this we even had both of us standing on it . but it was way to hard to get a pic to bad I was out of gas to use heat on it
