Can anyone kindly tell me what the torque specs are for tightening our wheel lug nuts? I'd like to pull the wheels off tomorrow to clean some of the gunk out and I

Owner's Man says 80 lbf ft.
"Changing a Flat Tire" (section)

I'd think the '04 would be the same.

Good Luck!

Pete,

Look in your secret compartment in the "S". There you will find the owner's manual.

Rick did your homework for you. Check out page 158, you should find the info you are looking for!

Hope to see you soon!

It's page 222 in the '03 Manual.

Wonder what caused them to move it forward 64 pages?

Tom,

Rick's of the opinion that the 04's are TORQUE MONSTERS, so since we will be burning our tires off sooner than previous models, Honda wanted to prioritize the information, so they moved it forward in the manual!

Some folks consider the Honda torque recommendation to be a bit high. However, I can't find some of the other recommendations that I've followed in the past . Sorry, Pete. 80 will be fine, I'm sure, but I prefer less.

80ft lb will be fine Pete . This is what we use at my shop on most wheels. Remember to recheck them after about 100 miles or so .

Owner's manual ? Boy do I feel dumb.

Well, at least my torque wrench is already set at 80, do I don't have to go out and buy a new one!

Thanks again you guys.
