Default UPS Store SUCKS!

I went on the UPS site to see what shipping would be on some items going to Canada. I was qouted $96 then I went to the UPS store to ship these items and they wanted $171. I called UPS and the store and no one was of any help they said the UPS store can set what ever rate they wanted .

80% markup on something they just stick a lable on and wait for the truck . I even had everything packaged.

then yes - the UPS store sucks!!!

scott UPS will give you a free program so that you can do it all on your laptop and the UPS guy will pick up the parts at your shop (assuming they can find your shop)

If could have dropped them of right at UPS but I had some errands to run in the other direction. I didn't know they marked the $%# up 80%.

Next time I will know better . I am set up online to print my own labels . I was just behind and everything was packaged so I thought i would just have them do it.But thanks for the offer.

I hate UPS in general. When I bought my Audi TT, I ordered some nice license plate frames to put on the car. They were being shipped from California. When they didn't arrive after about two weeks I tracked them.

According to UPS they were in Chicago. Then, a few days later I tracked the package again and it was back in California!!! So, I called UPS and they told me the package had been misrouted and had been accidentally sent back to California (DUH!!).

So, I said to the UPS rep "are you going to upgrade my package to air then to make up for your mistake?" I was really exciting about picking up my new car and wanted to have the plate frames in hand. The reply I got from UPS was "No. We do not guarantee the delivery time of ground packages. So, I can't upgrade your package." After arguing with this person for a while and also with a supervisor I finally said "So, you're telling me you have no guaranteed delivery time for ground packages." The supervisor replied "yes." So I said "So, you could deliver a ground package two years after it was shipped and that would be acceptable to you?" She replied "of course that would not be acceptable." I replied "Neither is this. My package was shipped weeks ago which is more than ample time for shipment. So, find my package and upgrade it to air!!"

The supervisor relented and agreed to upgrade my package. An hour later, I got a call from another UPS rep telling me that they couldn't upgrade my package because it was already on a truck headed back to Chicago. I had my package almost a week later and have attempted to avoid using UPS ever since.

Sounds like my experience with DHL. I paid for a package to be delivered overnight because I really needed it. I was suppose to meet someone to pay for a car I was buying and the check and paperwork for it was in that package so I paid for overnight saturday early AM delivery... I called them on Saturday morning at aroung 11am to be told oh sorry you live in a rural area we don't deliver in your area on sat. I was like but you had no trouble taking my money though??? Do I get a refund for the extra money I paid for... oh NO, she said. I just lost it. It showed up the following Tuesday and there was nothing they could/would do to help. I called DHL and gave the woman a piece of my mind and now I will never use them for anything and tell everyone I know not to use them.
Their rep came to my office to sign us up, I told my manager about the story and as soon as the guy came in we told him the story and asked him to leave and not come back.
DHL does not deliver in all areas all the time. They told me I was in a rural area and that they don't deliver to rural area's everyday even if the package say overnight early am saturday delivery. They had no problem taking my money and not telling me that info though...
DHL= I will never use them. Even when I order stuff online, if the shipping company is DHL I'll cancel the order and buy from someone else.
