If it were a CV you'd most likely notice this more when accelerating while turning since the two joints moving at different speeds exaggerate the problem.

MMMM. makes me think that it's either low tire pressure or the weights fell off one of the wheels.
it's mostly noticable when i step on the gas. the more i give it the more the vibration. take my foot off the gas and it stops. i can't really say that it does it when i take turns cause i haven't taken any turns.

I would think a missing counterweight would vibrate the same under acceleration as it would at constant speed...

Ya know, now that I think of it I had something similar happen to me with my old Accord. Turned out there was slush built up inside the rim. Didn't notice it until I was accelerating and it would level off at cruising speed.

ok so i checked the tire pressure and weights. all are fine. so i noticed that if i'm in 2nd gear and stay at a steady 6grand it doesn't vibrate. then when i floor it, it comes back. i think i'll take it to the dealer and see what they think it is.

Does it do it if you are not moving?

Try to rev the engine in neutral - do you still have a vib?

That will break the problem in half (drive line/motor).

If it is driveline like I expect, does the vib go away if you put the rears up in the air (I am taking no responsibility here - you are on your own) and rev it?

That will separate if it is front/rear. Keep trying to break the problem in half to see if you can find it.

it does not vibrate in neutral and not moving and revving.
it only vibrates when i'm at full throttle.
does not vibrate off the gas pedal.
does not vibrate around corners off the gas.
on the gas yes. going to take it to dealer thursday and see what they think. going to check spark plugs also. it's almost time to change out due to being 7years old.

Not that it's the same car, but I had a problem with my A4 - what turned out to be a partially clogged fuel injector in one cylinder. It didn't even happen enough to set of the Check Engine Light at first, but at heavy throttle it felt like I was driving on cobblestones. When I let off, it went away.

What threw me for a loop was that it would only do it under engine load - revving at idle wouldn't cause it to misfire. Eventually it got bad enough to set off the light (which told me the faulty cylinder), but by then it would occasionally miss at idle, so I had it figured out at that point. But there was a solid week where I thought it was drivetrain.

I changed the plugs (which all looked equally fine) and dumped in a bottle of injector cleaner, and 55k miles later I'm still good.
