What type of Meets do we want to see?
Lets try to get a snapshot of what the current members would like to see in the coming season. Feel free to suggest other ideas - remember, ANYONE can plan a meet.
Voted. Honestly since I've been here (a year and a half ago?), I haven't seen any Tech Days or Dyno Days. I'm not the type of person to go to an event that doesn't have to do with cars.
I didn't attend any drives this year as I was busy working on it all spring/summer and now fall, but I'm pretty active on here though. I was just speaking with Scott about this today, and he says with his new shop he would probably hold more events.
Sorry if there was tech or dyno days that I didn't come across.

Voted. Our time is very limited due to other obligations. We're in for the social aspect. We're not into tech or dyno days, though depending on the tech day, we have been known to show up for the socializing part of the tech day. A drive, a picnic, a cookout, and meet and eat are all fine.
We've often had a little something for everyone as far as meets. If you have a +1, they too can enjoy the group if you attend a mix of things.
One other thought. The Fall Crawl was well attended this year. I know some folks have difficulty with the thought of paying to attend a meet. However, this meet is a blast. The cost of registration covers lunch on Saturday and dinner on Saturday night. Additional costs are to insure the event and expenses related to holding the event at the hotel. (You are not obligated to stay in the hotel).
Meets such as Fall Crawl are an excellent way to meet other people, their +1s, and to give your cars a little "exercise." There is plenty of "car talk" at these meets. Please don't discount a meet because you might have to shell out a few bucks. They are planned way in advance, which allows you plenty of time to budget. Give it some thought as meets are announced.
As I said in the other thread...I am game for pretty much anything and voted for everything.
I have way too much time on my hands now.
The only one that may be a hit or miss are the AutoX meeets. I would definitely like to get a better understanding of the s2000's capabilities but the cost of AutoX or Track meets are not within the budget especially if something were to happen. I would most likely just do the social aspect of these meets.

Voted, but in reality living so far away I am unlikely to attend much that does not involve some kind of track time. I have been slowly turning my s in to more and more of a track car and therefore street driving is not the most pleasant. For reference I am 4.5-5 hours just to get to Boston so I don't see too much showing up for a D&D social. Would like to meet some of you but I usually tow to NHMS Lime Rock WGI Mt Tremblant etc, any one else doing any track duty? I do appreciate the forum being here and try to post when I have something relevant to say.
