What's wrong with that? It's nice and quiet.

I like working the days before xmas and thanksgiving, lots of people
gone, less work coming in.

just be happy you have a job.

the previous place i just got laid off from has the day off today, and they are all still worried about layoffs. the place I am at now does not have the day off. but there is not as much fear of layoffs here.

but yah working on a holiday sucks.

I don't mind it. The only issue I have with it is other businesses I try to contact take the day off making my job a little harder.

I always come in the day after Thanksgiving. Its nice and quiet.

Plus at this point Im happy to have my job to come into. May not be the case in January. Rumors flying, they usually end up being true and no one will say there is not a layoff coming...

i would suspect with all the other layoffs coming and customers looking to reduce expenses - staples might get hit..

i am still surprised we are hiring if we were under the old mgt team (private equity), layoffs would have been swift and deep - new mgt team under the public company thinks that by adding to the headcount they will grow the business - just don;t see that working but hey what do i know? i'm not on the leadership team

as a side note us Bill Collectors are getting busier and busier by the week - PAY YOUR BILLS FOLKS
