I reminded myself of that yesterday when I stopped by to wish the folks merry Christmas. As Tom Rush said, No regrets, no tears goodbye."The comments I got were that I looked happier, healthier, leaner and, even younger, than when I was going in every day.
My sister retired in July, from a job she didn't really like. Last time I saw her, she looked better than she has in years.
I, on the other hand, have been given free diet Coke at Wendy's by one employee in particular. Perhaps that employee thinks I have achieved a certain age (60)? Maybe I need a restful vacation.
I didn't question her, I just accepted the free drink.

To each their own. Money may make the world go round, however at this point in our lives, if I had a choice to work or not work on the holiday, unless I NEEDED the $, I'd rather spend time with +1, family and friends. Life is too short.
