When i was there I rode some crowded trains, but never that bad. In one case I spent about 6 stops at a 20 degree angle because I was pinned/leaned against my suitcase and my upper body was being pushed over from all the people getting on board.

I don't think they do the pushing thing anymore, but they do have the train attendants to ensure smooth operations. The trains run so well that if you're late from work and it's really the due to a delay you have to get a note from the railway. It's pretty nuts but the best train/subway I've seen to date.

And the best part is NO CELL PHONES ringing and no voice phone calls.
