it was a big white plate that was literrally hot ot the touch. lined with butter but since it was soo hot, it was melted butter. and it think it had something green all around it. .maybe oregano or something.

then they brought out the porterhouse on a separate plate all cut up. and they put two forks and put the plate top of the two forks, so it would be angled.

then you just grabbed a piece of meat.. put it on your plate lined with butter and tasted heaven.

Ah the cholesterol platter!

Any of you into the Portuguese food? They serve a steak with a fried egg on top.

Consumption of this dish may require a visit to the cardiac ward and Steve's portable defibrillator!!

i'm a purist when it comes to steaks... it should be thrown on the grill and cooked until it stops moo'ing. salt and butter is the most i want on it.

I have heard of the steak/butter think and seen it mentioned on menus . I don't think I would appeal to me at all.

Butter on yeah, butter on meat, I'll pass.
don't knock it till you tried it... your heart and cholesterol level will thank you later

Actually, for a Vintage person, my cholesterol is of no concern. I got my Dad's genes on that one, and it's nice and low.

I'm sure the steak/butter thing is tasty, just sounds a bit too heavy for me.

If I eat that, I'll that gain 20 pounds, then Steve will say "Hey, Lainey. You got some junk in your trunk."
