From: Behind you. Yep, I'm there.
I will be stationed at Kirtland this Sep.
My family and I are moving out. We would like to know if any of you may be of assistence with a realator. I know do a search, but I would rather work with someone who is on the boards, or has a close friend to the community. Word of mouth is always better.
We are looking for a 4, maybe 5 bedroom house. Possible to buy, or rent.
(Need room for my billards table).
I have gotten word from the CO on who does work on the S2K in the area. Looking forward to meeting him when I get out. We can definitley talk performance mods and other things.
From looking at the maps of the area you guys have a lot more FUN roads to choose from. FL being mainly flat and all not to many twisties out here. Looking forward to some spirited driving soon.
Any other S owners stationed at Kirtland? Post up.
Where can I get some good Mexican food. FL is lacking in that dept. I found one place only here that comes close to SoCal, or my Uncles cooking.
Anything else that any of you could recomend, please feel free to do.
Thanks guys.
See you all soon.

You are going to get a list of restaurants two pages long...honestly there are a ton that will rock your world. Trying them all is the best part. When you get in we should plan a crest run meet so you can see a little bit of the scenery, and that is an awesome road.

P.S. I'm going to have to recommend casa de bienavides, I just had a stuffed sopapilla from there and it was damn good. Stuffies is also very very good for just a quick run in and grab meal.
I have been there twice, and eaten there zero times. Walked out twice when I was not even GREETED within 10 minutes of walking in, despite the empty lobby.
There's always Gardunos, they're decent... but there's this really great mexican place I forget the name of in the lower level of the Galleria down town. Anybody know it?
As far as a realtor, I don't know if anybody on the board is one, but I can recommend one for you, he's a great guy.
I'm actually a realtor, but I don't have the time to do it with my job that pays me regularly, but I can get you in touch with my Mom who does it full-time. She is fantastic. Shoot me a PM and I'll get you the info you need.

Thanks guys, I like the idea of several Mexican food restaurant's instead of 2 to choose from. One being good, the others idea of salsa looks like ketchup.
I am looking forward to some nice group drives. I have seen some past photo's of the balloon show. I always wanted to go up in one of those. Looks like I will get my chance.
I just ran into HardTopGuy in Tampa a couple of weeks ago. He told me you guys are a good group.
Do you guys ever plan a mod day? BBQ? Just some ideas that I am kind of use to doing in Tampa right now. Well at least when I am in town anyways.
Thanks again guys, keep the inputs flowing.

The food here is more New Mexican then traditional mexican. Its a bit different but taste 100 times better IMO. Now that it's getting warm again we should start getting some BBQ's together. The ballon fiesta is something you should definitely see once. After that you'll notice its pretty much more of the same every year but the traffic just gets worse.

I can deal with traffic. After driving in several Mid East countries they make drivers in the US look tame.
Yes I have been warned about certain driving behavior practices in NM. I witnessed it when I was 15 visiting some relatives in Taos, I heard the song, "Drive like a New Mexican". I got a kick out of it.
