We really don't have many local shops here and to get any kind of quality work done we have to pay a fair bit more than most cities. I ended up installing the main hoop myself in about an hour or so but did not have a 90 degree drill to drill the rear holes which is how I was told to do it on the jdm forums so I took it to a very good local shop and they charged me 200 just to fit the rear bars. The labor rates at the shops here run about 110 an hour if you bring your own parts . Thanks for the input though, wish I would have caught ya sooner lol

oh yeah and the all day part was me tryin to find different alternatives to a 90 degree drill but my brain wasn't working that well that day lol

Yeah I hear you. The rear drilling was the hard part but you could have gotten away with a much smaller drill. Thats what I did.

Your right prices are probably more in New Mexico than California.
At least you got it in. Any pics? Post them up in the gallery.

Actually its not that hard at all and will not take you that long . You only have the 5 point cage which at most will take you 2-3 hours (if this is your first time). Very simple and easy install. I had the 6 point cage and it took a little longer but still not that much. Took me 30 mins to take it out when I sold it.

Shops wont charge you $400. $150 at local shops for 2 hours of labor and thats it. You should have done more research or posted in the JDM or tech forums.
Dont take my tone the wrong way but there are threads on "how to" with these cages over the past few years.
If you need help let me know.
