there's a thread (https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=336097) that shows you how to disable the A/C lock when you use your defroster. it should take only about a minute or so. i haven't tried it on the 06 yet, but form what i've read it works on all '02+ s2ks.

i just wanted to pass this along in case anyone missed it. people in the thread say it works on a number of hondas including the rsx. we had an rsx before the s2k and it was a very annoying thing about that car (among many). i really wish i knew this fix earlier - it would have saved my wife a lot of earache from me!
