it gets a bit hot here in the summer months so i vented my OEM hood about a month ago.

LOL!!! I covered the holes with mesh now!! you can't really see it anymore!

Hey David,

I'm thinking of doing the hood cutting also... how much of a pain in the ass is it really? Any tips you care to share??

Actually, it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be.....took me and a friend about an hour and a half. it's pretty straight forward.

Yeah, I've seen the DIY, I just wasn't sure how difficult it really was. Has it helped significantly with heat soak??

I installed my Mugen cooling mods and Hondata IMG a couple month ago, but didn't notice a change in the temp gauge. after i vented the hood the temp gauge was jumping down and up one bar.

Yeah that's pretty significant then... hmmm, just have to grow a pair to screw with my oem hood... ahaha
