Default Hardtop Adjustment

So I am up here in Santa Fe, and unfortunately not only is it getting colder but the roads are in the worse condition in years. Because of this my car interior has increased to maximum rattle and I need to know if anyone is any good at adjusting this or has the proper tools to shut this thing up. I might be able to come down to ABQ tomorrow, as I actually get Columbus Day off as a coincidence and could make the drive for just this fix. I really need to get the car all nice a quite again before so I can live with the car in peace.

Thanks

Just grease the rear seal. It will go away. I don't have any noise even when it's cold out here like yesterday 37 degrees.

I noticed this morning that my hardtop is starting to make the cold-weather noises too. I'm gonna get some of that grease from Honda for the hardtop. hopefully it'll help.

This isn't really about greasing the seal. The hardtop isn't creeking, it is rattling. It needs to be adjusted. Also I want to check if maybe any of the seals are damaged and need replacing.

weird... I've never adjusted my hardtop. I installed the hardware, put the top on, and it's been fine ever since. for 3 years now. either that or I have my music up too loud to hear any rattles.

The ht is kinda a bitch to ajust, Phil gave me a copy of the adjustment procedure from Honda. Where is the noise coming from front, rear? You may need to replace the ht strikers and use Honda shin-etsu grease, that stuff works great on all your seals.

Take it off and sell it for gas money!

Win win situation.

I get a little rattle from the front. But most of it is from the back left corner. I know the CR HTs for some unknown reason are more of a pain than the others but the adjustment properties are still the same. The front latches have been replaced but not the strikers. Also when lock the top into place on the front latches they move forward a couple mm and I know that isn't suppose to happen. I just don't want to take this thing into my dealership, just because they would be so damn pricey to fix this. Also can anyone get me pictures of the seals on their hardtop, I want to see if Honda skimped at all on the CR.

THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN THE CR HT!!! If your front latches move, try to tighten them, open the latches and you see where to tighten them. Why in the world would CR be harder to adjust then any other S2000? Why do you want to check the seals, when you already posted it wasn't the seals. Funny how it rattles, in the same corner as all the other HT, that are fixed with the grease. Hmmm. I just don't know how to help you.
