Get a radar detector! Just drove my S through Rio Ripoff today and had at least 3 hits. They are definitely swarming all over out there. Also, have seen APD several times by the COSTCO on the west side. They are using Laser there. My detector went off and the cop was still shining me as I was turning and going into the parking lot. I reached up and kissed my Passport and smiled. Cop shook his head as he was still aiming the LIDAR at me through the turn.

At least they are still legal here. I had several friends in VA get tickets for radar detecors. Police have radar detector detectors.

Also, there is always the E brake trick when you see a cop. No brake lights. Saved me a many times when I was young.

Passport and Valentine detectors are undetectable by police. It can be a real war of electrons out there. Many years ago I heard a story (perhaps an Urban Legend) about several enterprising radar techs at Nellis AFB who had built a jammer from a Sears Kenmore microwave oven. They would cruise around looking for targets of opportunity...

I've had my Valentine1 for over 7 years. The only time I've gotten a ticket was early on when I forgot to turn it on...since then it has never been turned off!!!

Oh and the nice thing about Valentine is that if the technology is improved just send it back to them to be upgraded...there is no planned obsolesence and customer service is top notch!
