Default Oops on Discount Tire

Thought you might get a kick out of reading this one:

The Bridgestone RE970s I ordered from Discount Tire came in today and I had them install the tires. When I got in the car and drove home, I noticed the car felt different. I got out of my car and looked at the tires...the fronts had the 225s and the rears had the 205s. WHAT?! I rushed back over to Discount Tire at 6:45 (after hours) and caught them on time before they shut down their last bay.

I explained to them how much they messed up; only to find out that they messed up even further by mounting the 205s onto the wider rear wheels and vice versa. They called out the guy who did the work and asked him if he knew S2000s had staggered wheels...the guy was clueless. Luckily, three people went to work and did everything correctly in 10 minutes.

They apologized several times and noted how embarrassing of a mistake it was.

wow thats pretty crappy. Which discount? I use the one on juan tabo north of lomas, and they have done me right every time. Bought like 5 sets in the past 2 years for different cars. Good prices, loaner tires when they have to order new ones, they haven't made any mistakes on sizing and they didnt mess up my Works. And they know how to properly rotate directional tires.

Everytime I go there the techs ask about the car and stuff, they are nice guys.

I had a guy come into my work (Costco) in a Mercedes CLK 230.They have the same staggered set up as the s2000 AP1. The Mercedes dealership rotated the larger tires to the front and did his alignment with the tires in the wrong place. Talk about major fail.

This was the Discount on Montano and Coors. Maybe I should try the one Juan Tabo next time. That one is actually closer to my work. 03evo, so you're the one with the AP1 I see at Costco all time...
