Ok here is the deal so my g/f's Dad owns a car shop. He has a 55gallon oil barrel of mobil 1 full synthetic. First of all is anybody running Mobil 1 synthetic? and if so people who arent are you wanting too run synthetic? If so i was thinking about trying to get all of us a good deal on oil changes. if you think about 5qt of Mobil 1 sythentic is 6 bucks so thats $30 plus your oil filter $10 i use OEM. i get the OEM filters for $7.52 so maybe i can buy a few of them and give them too you at my cost. well the price of the Oil change might come out too $50-60 is what im thinkin so your probably gonna pay $10-20 in labor which isnt bad at all. are you guys willing to pay this much? let me know
PS this is for brandon as well

Makes sense but, you can get a full syn Mobil1 oil change for under $40 @ Wally World, $55 @ JiffyLube and other oil places, or regular honda oil change @ dealership for $45. I'm all about Mobil1 full synthetic (all i've ever used til recently.) Unless I do it myself.... I'll probably just stick with the dealership cuz if they screw up I know I'm covered! I'm not that hard on my S/it drinks a quart between changes anyway. ^ When you get a deal going let us know!
for full synthetic its pretty close
like i said 5qt oil-$30 OEM oil filter regular cost $10
so your looking at $40 there plus like maybe between $10-20 for labor thats not too bad
hmm well like i said ill see what he tells me later on today
$45 at the honda dealer
Perfection is only $30

Jerry,
You must have the HOOKUP or I just got HOSED! I went to Perfection the last time cuz I remember you saying that it was only $30. When I went to pay I qustioned the $45 (including tax), and they said that is what they charge only for s2k's because the s2k's require HONDA brand oil only (per plastic quart), not the junk oil out 55 gallon drums they put in regular hondas. I kinda understood...but was still like what are they putting in regular hondas then?
Has anyone else experienced this???

^the drum barrels are actuall Castrol GTX. But for the s2000's they use just regular castorl GTX in the bottles. so really your getting the same oil just in the bottle
and $45 damn man ya i used to get my oil changed there once a month for 29.99+tax so it was about $32

i'm thinking about starting to do my own oil changes. i really don't think i can trust anyone enough here in alamogordo. i could get recommendations from coworkers who've lived here a while, but they don't own s2000's. they have accords or tauruses or f-150's. i'm also no willing to drive an hour to las cruces or an hour and a half to el paso just for an oil change.
soooooooooo... i'm going to get a jack, jack stands, and give it a whirl!
