No he just took a chunk with the fork and had the juice from the 2nd one. Even after almost tossing his cookies on the first one he still goes for the 2nd hours later for the hell of it. Curiosity or just plain macho behavior ...? Who knows but Jay was sober and he is our "Give it to Mikey" guy lol

I don't know the details so I can't really say. He is around the Bayside/Whitestone area. He isn't that broken up about it though since he is working on the family thing. He was planning on selling it anyway it just sucks that he couldn't have had a proper goodbye, he said.

It is rumored that the supposed super charger is nothing more than a box cut to look like one wrapped in aluminum foil. Don't know who started that rumor but it was mentioned while I was up there for the 234 bbq. :gossip:

Its stupid easy only takes 5 minutes. But so you dont snap the moulding clips under the hood use a 5mm socket and press up on the clips from below it will compress them closed and push them out.

dwight 07-25-2013 03:31 PM

This super easy to do.

Well since you guys will never see my car again (unless you go to an autox or track with me) here are some updated photos from this past weekend's ProSolo in Toledo, Ohio.

...and no I didn't win. I sucked balls this past weekend. Couldn't get my head together after being drenched in rain on day 1.

Yeah, but you looked good doing it.

:feint: at the meat on those rear tires......

It's a shame these photos are "hidden" in this thread ....

mndthegap1 07-31-2013 10:19 AM

yo steve where u get that rear spoiler? got any more pics of it?

steguis 07-31-2013 10:43 AM

It's actually 203 but yea. Rear spoiler was custom made and is for competition use only. I can't even imagine how much it would suck for fuel economy. It's like driving around with a giant 10" air brake on the back. I actually remove it before towing since it creates so much drag.

https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...15469766_n.jpg

steguis 07-31-2013 10:44 AM

I have a 4.5" version though that is more usable at higher speed that is for track use. Kinda like the NASCAR style ones.

steguis 07-31-2013 02:01 PM

What line?

steguis 07-31-2013 02:07 PM

Oh haha!

dantediss 08-01-2013 01:25 PM

Where do you live ?? And i have a works bell boss hub just chilling at my apt if you dont want to spend a ton of dough. Removing everything is easy its maintaining the horn that sucks. I just switched to an nrg short hub and you need to remove the entire srs reel to use it hahaha. If your close to the edison area im down to do it for you. It only takes an hour at most

dantediss 08-01-2013 01:26 PM

And steguis who made your wing ?? If you can could you pm about what they would charge for the 4.5 one. Iv been searching for that style wing for a looonnngggg time now

steguis 08-01-2013 01:44 PM

Works Bell hubs are very good quality. There is no way you're yanking that thing off once it's attached (at least not accidentally). I had NRG before and after 2 years the tolerances started to go bad and the steering wheel had some play in it.

dantediss, the spoiler was done by JoeFis Racing in central PA. They won't make you one though as they will only make parts for cars that actively compete nationall....mostly coz they're just too busy to take on any more clients and since these are made one off they have to focus their effort on competition cars first.

steguis 08-01-2013 01:45 PM

Also Rosario as for the steering wheel. just make sure your battery has been disconnected for quite some time before working on the steering wheel and you should be fine.

dantediss 08-01-2013 02:10 PM

Yeah true discharge the car before touching the bomb of an airbag. And gotchya. I figured it was a race only part especially with the season. Maybe ill try contacting them in the winter.. unless you decide on selling yours ; ) hahahaha

dantediss 08-01-2013 07:58 PM

You are definately going to want a short hub then. It keeps the steering wheel roughly where it is stock. A boss hub will move it almost 3 full inches closer to your chest than stock.

Im thinking about getting one for many different reasons and wanted to ask you two how reliable are those hubs? " NRG vs Works".. Can the wheel mistakenly come off while driving since I will be removing it alot since I drive my car daily? Next time I go to your house tony I have to check out your steering wheel for sure while I eat a 5.0 burger in your car lmaooo JK that shits too clean!! \

oohhh and by the way who the fawk knows how to switch an oem steering wheel to an aftermarket hub safely cause I dont need to be punched by an airbag in the face by mistake :banghead:

I have been using removable steering wheels for many years already. I had a Grant kit on my old Jeep Wrangler and had some JDM kit in my closet somewhere collecting dust that was in my AP1. The kit I have to bypass the SRS light only plugs into ap1 which sucks for me. I will see if I can post pics of it soon. They lock in very well and are totally safe. Steve races with his and tosses that car around harder than most. If his steering wheel didn't fly off by now I don't think it ever will lol.

mndthegap1 08-02-2013 01:50 PM

i bought johnny's (bonzai) old set Bell QR and Nardi 330 wheel and i love it, and its also a great theft deterent

2ks2knyc 08-04-2013 09:07 AM

Damn Steve the car is looking good! I remember our talks about this being your plan to make the S strictly for racing. Happy for you bro. Wish I was still up there to watch you race again. At least you putting pics up for your 234 family to enjoy.
