Default Please advise on these wheels!!!

Hey guys,

Ok im just about to purchase some wheels. I have done a few mods so far and im not done yet. Anyhow I have an Apex World sport exhaust, AEM CAI, and now im going for wheels

18x10 for the rear 285's in the rear

18x8 for the front 225's in the front

They are called Antera series 309.

Guy gave me a price quote of 2039 dollars for the wheels with Nitto 555 tires. The wheels will be silver.

Do these sizes sound good? Should I expect my car to slow down? here's a picture

Thanks

Those wheels are very heavy, so you'll no doubt notice a loss of acceleration and your handling will suffer somewhat. No way to tell if they'll fit since you didn't say what the offset on the rims is.

plus since you dont have a Supercharger the 285 width is heavy.... I have 18x8 front and 18x10 HRE wheels 225/40 and 265/35 with S03s performance was a little different but when you keep the stock wheels the car is more nimble and the S02s are great.... If your looking for better performance think lightweight......Also do research on tires S03s are ok but I find the S02s have alot more grip.. So all in all the car is set up great from the factory if I were you go for amuse exhaust weighs 12lbs compare to the stock 55lbs exhaust.... Also its your car so do what you really want to do whatever makes you happy good luck!!!!

An S2000 isnt made for the track. Its not a drag car, and I really dont think that heavy wheels will affect my every day driving. If I decide to go with some boost later (which im in the process of) I would put the stock wheels back on for the track anyways.

Right now im just going for something that looks nice, I like the lip, I hate chrome. Chrome is for honda civics and big body cars. I dont think it mixes with small 2 doors.... IMO. But anyways Gemini thanks for the help. I chose in the end it went 18x10 in the rear with 265's like you said. He said 285 was excessive. I went with different tires though. I didnt get the s02 or s03 I got nitto 555 series tires. I know they arent as good but they also arent half the price.
