starter question?

Default starter question?

whats up metro and happy holidayz..... anyway just 2 dayz ago i heard a grind sound right after starting my car? i would put key in clutch down (outta gear) hit button car would turn ova maybe twice...then it would start i let go of button then grrrrr! like a grind kinda scratching sound just after car starts. its dosnt happen every start? whats the deal? any help would help.... thats redundant lol

that happens to me...only at initial startup...its cold out...and it only happens to me during the winter...i never thought much about it :/

I have had that happen if you hold the button down for too long sometimes just a second after start and id get that.

Its common during colder months. I usually press the starter button for a split second just to get the starter turn over, then wait a second or two and start normally.

cool thanks guys i thought i was gonna have to spend my xmas money on a new starter or something like that.... so no need to worry i guess

thats a very good idea never thought about just letting the starter turn over...no need to worry about...try S Factors method

Wow!

I was wondering what happened to me today. I have never had this happen to me before but I kept the car in the driveway today rather than the garage. I came to a conclusion that I held the button too long but was also confused because i had never done that before.

I'm happy the S2000 is back in the garage. lol ... but the engine did sound really nice with this nice dense cold air. You turbo guys must live for this stuff!
